The society became incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee under the Companies Act of 1938. The number in the register is 23 109. All 27 pages have been scanned. The 1944 IPS Memorandum and Articles of Association was based on the English translation of the IPS founding constitution (1916). It was printed in 1986. The revision resulted in the deletion of a small paragraph in Article 16. The correction was handwritten on the relevant page. At a special meeting of the Society on 5 May 1996 the resolution was passed to restore the relevant phrase to the set of articles.
