This President's chair was presented to the Victorian and Tasmanian Conference in 1932 by Mr Fred J Cato. Dark hardwood ornately carved high backed chair with two arm rests. The chair includes two worn leather cushions on the bottom and the back. There is a small metal plaque at the back with the manufacture's details.

Reverend Ron Upson was elected unopposed as Moderator of the Tasmanian Synod. Reverend Upson was in 1985 at Launceston South.
