Reverend Ron Upson was elected unopposed as Moderator of the Tasmanian Synod. Reverend Upson was in 1985 at Launceston South. He was ordained in Western Australia in 1970 and served in three parishes before working in Samoa first at Piula Theological College then as connexional secretary for the Methodist Church in Samoa.
