Two pamphlets, both dated August 1980 introducing the Metro Card - applicable from 1/8/1980 - introduction of new fares. Both have Ministry of Transport logo at the base of the first sheet. .1 - "How to Save Fares with MMTB" - 8 page centre stapled with a sketch of Z77 and a Volvo bus on the front cover, giving description of the Metro Card, and other tickets available on the MMTB including concession travel. 2nd copy added 14-5-2016 from the estate of Charles Craig. .2 - "How to Save Fares with VicRail" - 12 pages with a fold out rear sheet - with a sketch silver Hitachi train on the front cover giving description of the Metro Card, other tickets, discounts, country tickets, students, concession tickets, zones for the various stations and map showing car parking. .1 - Timetable - 92 page + cover with fold out map, centre stapled. Printed at the time of the introduction of new rolling stock and faster services, both Intercity and Regional. Dated Spring 1981. Shows train services to Ballarat at the time and for the VicRail. Relevant pages including fares and a map have been scanned. .2 - "Fares" - 16 page centre stapled book providing fare information - dated 4/10/1981. .3 - Pocket Timetable - Melbourne Ballarat 22/8/1993 .4 - ditto 16/10/1994 - both .3 and .4 advertise Sorbothan insoles for shoes. Set of two Restricted Weekday Ticket or Voucher, joined in the middle by a perforation. Nos. A201726 and 727, printed in red on manila coloured card. Was available for a single journey on any MMTB tram and bus and allowed a ticket to be obtained at any station for a single VicRail, metro journey. Part of a longer strip of tickets.
