The Wild Flowers and Native Plants Protection Act 1930 sought to prevent the picking of protected wild flowers and native plants during the protected period on any Crown Land or State forest, land reserved under the Land Act 1928 or the Closer Settlement Act 1928, and on any private land the owner or lessee of which had not given permission for any picking.
