After persistent pressure from the Advisory Council, Stage 1 of the new school was built and occupied by Form 1 and 2 students in 1960. The final stages were completed during term 3, 1962. The official opening of the new Wodonga High School was declared by The Hon. J. S. Bloomfield M.L.A., Minister for Education, on Friday 30th April 1965. This sport tunic was worn by female students in the 1960s.This uniform is significant because it documents the evolution of accepted styles of girls' uniform at Wodonga High School.Wodonga High School Girls' Sports tunic. Waisted with v neck bodice and pleated skirt. A stripe in maroon and gold stripe of 6 centimetres width placed 16 centimetres above the hemline.
