The minutes and bulletins document the activities of the Y Women's Service Club Eaglehawk Inc. The Presidents report for 2023-24 documents the decision to close the club and become a social club.The bulletin book is a white A4 plastic ring binder. It contains a set of monthly bulletins called 'Lansell Letter' printed on white A4 paper stapled at the top left-hand corner. Each bulletin is approximately 6 pages long and includes the details of the club president, treasurer and bulletin editor as well as reports, upcoming events, details of next meeting, minutes of the previous meetings. Y's Menettes club was established in Bendigo Kangaroo Flat 24th February 1973. It was one of four Menettes clubs in Bendigo. The other clubs were Bendigo, Lansell and Kangaroo Flat. The Y's Menettes were originally an offshoot of the Y's Men's Clubs. They are linked to the YMCA and aim to promote Christian principles, Youth activities, international good will, community needs, personal development, enjoyment of life and information sharing within the network. Monthly meetings were held in members' homes and later on in YMCA meeting rooms. The tablecloths were used when new members were inducted and their names were added to the cloth. The tablecloths were used at the monthly meetings. They were used at the yearly changeover of office bearers.The Y's Menettes were originally an offshoot of the Y's Men's Clubs. The Bendigo Y Service Club-Women Inc produced a regular newsletter promoting the activities of the Club and the meetings held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the YMCA in Strathdale.The December 2009 newsletter produced by the Kangaroo Flat Y Service Club. It includes a number of small articles about the life of the club leading up to Christmas. This badge is a membership badge to the Warrnambool Returned Services Club which is situated on Merri St Warrnambool. It provides services and meals for returned servicemen and women and the general public. This badge belonged to Ernest Swan who served in World War 11Round gold metal with dark green rim with writing in gold. This is a plaque given to the Quota Club of Warrnambool in 1983 when it was a finalist in an award given by the Victorian Council of Community Service Clubs. Quota Clubs were established to promote gender equality, to empower women and to assist people with physical and mental disabilities. The Warrnambool Quota Club was active in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s but no longer exists. This trophy was presented by the Country Women's Association (C.W.A) Kiewa Valley Branch circa 1950's. This was in a period when the C.W.A. was the major women's organisation which had the greatest influence amongst rural women (especially in isolated areas). This was a period when broad based communications were mainly by radio,women orientated magazines and the telephone. The CWA was an organisation that catered exclusively to women's needs. The atmosphere was one of "sisterhood" and covered nearly all the needs of rural based women. This one organisation incorporated knowledge and learning targeting women who physically may be isolated but not mentally. The C.W.A. motto "Honour our God, Loyalty to the throne, Service to the country, Through country women, For country women, By country women."The Kiewa Valley Group of the C.W.A. was a focal point for women in this still relatively isolated rural region to have a place of refuge from the heavy domestic demands that family and business exerted, and the need of a time and space to gain all the mental relaxation and group bonding necessary to balance the sometimes harsh environment that rural life presented.Silver plated chalice trophy has two "block ear" type handles fastened at the top lip and going 40mm vertically down to reconnect with the bowl. The bowl is connected to the dark brown plastic base by a brass (silver plating has worn off) stem (flower vase shaped).the chalice stem is attached to a circular tapered dome 30mm high which is also silver plated. The plastic base has a 35mm high extension rising from the broader circular bottom section and is rectangular in shape except for the quarter circular indent at each corner. The final circular base provides the chalice with the stability to stand on a flat surface. The whole of the base is hollow allowing the stem fastening nut to be viewed. Featuring two photocopies of a sixteen page pamphlet by Della Hilton titled 75 Years at St. Stephen’s – Including Union with Bambra Road Methodist Church. This details a brief history of both the Bambra Road Church and especially the St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Balaclava Road, Caulfield between 1910-1985. These churches united in 1976 to form the St. Stephen’s Uniting Church in Balaclava Road, Caulfield. The pamphlet includes copies of photographs of the interior, exterior and windows. There is a black and white photograph of the interior, undated and unattributed. There is a Christmas postcard from the church’s sponsor child, Paulus Lobo, dated post-1988.
