Drum has been in Historic Society for many years no history known till 2010 when a visitor donated several photographs to society .one with the bass drum in front of group of Heathcote Brass Band members.
Significance
only item known still in exsistance from the brass band dated from 1890-1930 in Heathcote.
Physical description
Bass Drum made of wood and skin, with brass fittings. rope and leather stretchers around barrel
