Physical description

An example of an early Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League of Australia members badge. This badge has a 1920 clip attached to the crown (the clip was changed each year to indicate membership renewal).
The rear of the badge is stamped with the member number 39561 and has been engraved with the name G Bolger.

Inscriptions & markings

The badge has the following inscription "RETURNED SAILORS & SOLDIERS IMPERIAL LEAGUE" and "AUSTRALIA".
