Historical information

Originally located on the Queenscliff Pier from 1856. It was known as the waiting shed for registered fishermen. It was moved from Queenscliff pier to near slipway in 1960, then to Princess Park in the 1970s and to the museum in late 1980.

Henry Zanoni, a fisherman was responsible for painting the many pictures of ships on the inside walls.
