Physical description
Anzac Day school children's medallion, issued in 1916. The medallion was struck by the Education Department of Victoria for distribution to school children to commemorate the first anniversary of ANZAC day on 25th April, 1916. This example is struck from bronze, the medallions were available in a variety of materials and finishes. The medallions were sold through schools on behalf of the War Relief Fund.
Obverse has the head of George V. Reverse has 'ANZAC' within wreath.
