The photograph was taken in 1951 in the village of Platrithia, Ithaca during the grain harvest, possibly in August.
Physical description
A faded black and white photograph of a family group of eleven people taken in a grain field. Two women and three men are standing and one of the women is holding a child. While three women and a man are sitting in front. A bundle of wheat is on the ground next to one of the women in the front.
