Physical description

This is a trench art butter knife. The handle is made of a plated spent bullet cartridge and the blade is made from brass. The blade is engraved with a delicate pattern which is quite worn. On one side are the words "Souvenir France".
The cartridge is the type used by the German Mauser and is stamped with a manufacturing date of 1918.
