Historical information

The minute book is a record of the activities of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society from 3 December 2007 to May 2009. The entries end on the 7 May 2009 as after that date, the minutes were entered on the computer. All entries in the book have been written or typed in English. The typed pages have been pasted into the book.

Significance

The fact that the minutes have been written in English reflects the club's membership which is now predominantly made up of Australian born members of Ithacan background.`

Physical description

A foolscap sized bound ledger with tan suede binding on the spine and corners with a grey lotus border along the edges. The cover is red with a feint tan marbled pattern. A blue stippled pattern is around the pages on 3 sides. The red label on the spine has the words ' Collins Minute 4394' printed in gold . Black srtripes are across the spine. A white label has been stuck on the top LH corner of trhe cover.
