Patchwork made from samples of mens suiting fabrics.The sample pieces on the edges may have come from a sample book which was bound together loosely rather than in a book form.(possibly in a 'flip book' style??) the samples in the middle are probably from a bound sample book. The cotton backing may either indicate that the coverlet was finished in more recent times- possibly 1940-s to 1960-s.
