Historical information

This book was owned by the late Dr Elizabeth Kerr and was donated to the Museum by the executor of her estate, Margaret Cameron. It was produced by Patons and Baldwins and contains knitting patterns for mens garments. It was published during the war and contains a pattern for an ARP Warden's cap. The illustration on the back cover shows a man wearing an ARP armband with a steel helmet slung over his shoulder.
