Vera Neale (1901 - 1990) used needles made from bicycle spokes and piano wire to achieve the fine knitted stitches for her garments.
Two lengths of piano wire, sharpened to points at both ends, used by Vera Neale as knitting needles.
Notes relate to blanket design, marketing, retail and production and repeatedly refer to ‘Phillips’. Refers to Physician Blankets, so possibly related to Collins Brothers Mill Pty Ltd.
