Design of quilt is based on grade 1 and 2 primary school drawings collected by the artist, Deborah De Williams, from schools including Birregurra, Newcomb, Lara, Inverleigh, Winchelsea and Bannockburn, relating to urban and rural communities and their relationship to the wool industry. Project was funded by a grant from the Australian Councils Regional Arts Fund.
Notes relate to blanket design, marketing, retail and production and repeatedly refer to ‘Phillips’. Refers to Physician Blankets, so possibly related to Collins Brothers Mill Pty Ltd.
