Historical information
The Greek Community from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne established a scout group in Box Hill. The group functioned until the late 1980s. The photograph was taken when the Governor came to inspect the group.
Significance
Sotiri Sikiotis, former Treasurer and Honorary Life Member of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society was actively involved in Melbourne's Greek scout movement and was on the committee of the first Melbourne 1st Greek Scout Group.
