Plain white china feeding cup, provided with a handle and pouring spout at right angles to each other. There is a scalloped half-cover over the cup to prevent spillage. A Red Cross symbol, surrounded by a solid red circle, is located on the top. Used in hospitals for feeding invalid or bed-ridden patients.
Inscriptions & markings
This cup has a Red Cross symbol on the upper surface. The underside of the cup has the following imprint: "MADE IN ENGLAND", "EMPIRE WORKS", "STOKE on TRENT" beneath a symbol of a crown which is beneath "E. P. Co.". The cup is also is impressed with the word "ENGLAND".
