Ernest J. D. Abraham spoke and gave practical illustrations of the language of gesture. The meeting and entertainment washeld for the purpose of drawing public attention to the work being done by the Adult Deaf and Dumb Mission among the Deaf in Victoria.
Significance
An example of the work done in the early part of the 20th century by the Adult Deaf and Dumb Society of Victoria; particularly the work of Ernest J. D. Abraham on his lecture tours to promote and raise funds for the Society.
