Historical information

Lapel pins were struck to recognise Association for the Blind volunteers. These consisted of the Association for the Blind symbol of a square (filled with horizontal lines crossed by two diagonal lines), in gold and a circle in the middle against a contrasting background. Around the outside in gold lettering is written 'Association for the Blind' and 'Volunteer' on a a dark background.
Red background - 3 years of service
Green background - 5 years of service
Gold background - 10 years of service
