Significance
Dorothy Rogers was a long-time resident of Kew and a well-regarded historian and author. Her research, articles and publications are found in local collections including the Kew library, the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, the State Library of Victoria and the National Library of Australia. She is perhaps best remembered for her local history publications and articles culminating in her book ‘The History of Kew’. The Dorothy Rogers Collection, held the Kew Historical Society includes her professional library, her working and finished manuscripts, as well as an extensive collection of photographs and ephemera that she either inherited or collected.
