This felted coat of arms was made by Heather Frizzell for entry into the Australian Sheep and Wool Show in 2016. It was entered into the needle felting section, which it won.
The emu and the kangaroo and predominantly made from ultra fine merino from a sheep named Ninja, with a micron count between 14-15, from Casalana Fine Wool. The emu feathers were supplied by an emu farm in South Australia.
It took approximately fifty hours for the maker, Heather Frizzell, to complete this piece at her home in Barraboool, Victoria.

Woollen Australian Coat of Arms, with felted Kangaroo and Emu. Includes a round metal stand, winning sash, plastic bag of sample materials and a certificate.
