Historical information

A family bible belonging to the Dakin family of Kew. Arthur Dakin who is listed in the front pages was a member of the Ross Sea Rescue Expedition. A collection of artefacts relating to Dakin is held in the Tasmanian Museum. There is also a trophy held in the Kew Historical Society collection.

Significance

This bible has historical significance because of its association with Arthur Dakin of the Ross Sea Rescue Expedition.
