Weapon - Dagger

Historical information

Middle Eastern dagger or letter opener. Australian personnel served in the middle east in both world wars. This object was likely brought home from Egypt or Palestine by a service member. Possibly a Janbiya, a dagger worn by arab men over the age of 14.

WW1 Dagger with head of camel or horse's head in brown leather scabbard with metal tip and belt clip.
