Historical information
The photograph is of an early Ithacan Philanthropic Society committee. Some of the members were also in the inaugral committee of the Society, which was formed in Melbourne in 1916. It became affectionately known as 'The Club' and provided the early Ithacan Greeks a place of belonging in a strange and at times a hostile environment.
