Historical information

The photograph was taken at an Ithacan Club picnic some time during the late 1930s. Races have always been a popular feature of the picnic. The then president, Andreas Papadopoulos is congratulating the three place-getters, from L-R unknown, unknown, Hector Anagnostatos (Andrews). Andreas Papadopoulos was president from 1934 - 1939. Hector Anagnostatos was president from 1953-1955.

Physical description

A sepia photograph mounted on grey board which has a darker grey border. Three men dressed in singlets and trousers are standing in sports arena and a man in a suit is shaking the hand of one of the men. Some people are seated in a grandstand behind the group on the oval.
