Significance
The Demobilization Procedure Book was developed and issued as a handbook by the Australian Military Forces to service men and women once they became available for dispersal. The handbook was used to facilitate the action necessary for demobilisation following the end of World War II in 1945. The completion of the handbook and instructions were required before a Certificate of Discharge could be issued.
