Historical information
The group were gathered together for a Varigos family reunion some time in the 1980s. The families are all descendants of Ioannis and Giannoula Varvarigos who migrated to Melbourne from Ithaca in 1914.
Significance
Family ties are very important in Ithacan culture and the links across the generations are very strong.
