The Trust was set up as a memorial to Sir Stanley Savige. The object of the Trust was to further the work of the Junior Legacy movement in Melbourne. Over the first ten years of the trust 248 families were assisted. Includes original Trust Deed, much financial information, contributors and amounts contributed.

Significance

Significant in that the Board of Management of Melbourne Legacy saw fit to commemerate Sir Stanley Savige by one, a biography and two in a manner more fitting, by the establishment of a trust fund, to further the assistance that Melbourne Legacy could give to the families of deceased service personnel.
