WW2 Helmet

Historical information

This is an example of the British Brodie Pattern Mark 11 steel helmet. This style of helmet was worn during WW2 by all three services, Army, Navy and Air Force although colour schemes did vary.

Significance

An example of standard issue WW2 equipment worn by all branches of the Australian services.

Physical description

Camouflage green outer, webbing chin strap, black fabric adjustable lining.
Metal rim around outer edge.
Appears unused..
