The photo of the family group is at an annual Ithacan picnic held in the 1930. Behind the group are family cars which reflect the increasing economic prosperity of members of the Ithacan community. Many, however, travelled to the picnic in hired vans and later chartered buses.
Physical description
A sepia photograph with a white border of a family group sitting in front of a 1920-30s motor car. Five ladies are sitting on the footboard while two men and another lady and three children are sitting on the grass.
