Don Chipp was a former Liberal Party politician. He was the founder of the Australian Democrats in 1977 and gained the balance of power in the Senate. The foreword is written by John Gorton (former Liberal Prime Minister) and an afterword by RJ Hawke (former ALP Prime Minister).
