A letter dated 21st September 1928 written by P.W. Powell with his recollections of the first years of Melbourne Legacy. Legatee Powell was the first Honorary Secretary of the Club, attending the first meeting in September 1923 when the office bearers were appointed and the name of the Club discussed. He notes that the early documents and press cuttings were included in the first Minute Book, but goes on to say that the book is missing.

Significance

A personal signed account by a man who was part of the creation of Melbourne Legacy.
