Historical information
The couple in the photograph are Ioulia and George Raftopoulos (Klapatsouras) who were the parents of Effie Cominos and Aspasia (Sia) Koutsouvelis. Ioulia was from the village of Stavros and George from Frikes. They arrived in Australia from Ithaca in the 1920s and settled in Park Street Brunswick. Following George's death moved to Cromwell Road South Yarra close to her daughter Effie.
