Fred Bromley was a Queensland MP (1960-1974) and in addition to the above role in the Welfare Association, was also an executive member of the Lady Nell Seeing Eye Dog School, and was awarded an Order of Australia in 1984 in "recognition of service to the community, particular the welfare of disabled people".
