The Queen,s colour is more than just a flag. It is an important symbol of respect to a Military Service or Regiment which represents heroic deeds and Battle Honours.

Wooden plaque of the Queen,s colours presented to the Royal Australian Air Force.
Inscriptions & markings
On the Presentation of the Queen,s Colour to the Royal Australian Air Force by H M Queen Elizabeth !! at Richmond Airbase on Wednesday the 5th of March 1986.
The inscription in centre of plaque is a crown over an Eagle with outspread wings and Latin wording PER ASTRA ARDUA -AD.
