Donated to Ansett Museum. Formerly worn by Ansett Airlines pilot.

Significance

Complements the collection of air flight crew attire.

Physical description

Pilot's peaked cap. Orange cotton flat-topped crown. Orange cotton exterior band supported by rigid internal leather band. Interior lining of green cotton under plastic. Perforated leather sweat band. Rigid black visor made of natural fibre. Black cloth strap above visor is secured by 2 orange fabric buttons on either side.
