Historical information

Printed in 1906, the postcard depicts an image of the grandstand and track at Baarmutha Park, Beechworth. There is a carriage in the left side of the image. On the right side, there are people, mostly young women, seated on a bench and gathering around a table on the lawn. The "clericals" and "brewery" mentioned in the written correspondence on the postcard's reverse refer to two local football teams.

Significance

The record is historically significant as it illustrates how Baarmutha Park look and was used by the public in the early twentieth century.
