David Beavis was secretary of the Queenscliffe Lifeboat Preservation Society Inc until his death in 1986

Significance

Queenscliffe Lifeboat Preservation Society QLPS was established to oversee the restoration of the lifeboat Queenscliffe in the 1980s and the funding and construction of the current Queenscliff Maritime Museum.
