Explanatory note on back of frame from donor, M Vivian: Group of the St Kilda Rifle Club taken in the garden of "Ripponlea" - the home of Mr B Nathan in the summer of 1914. (Channel 2 is on this same spot.) All of the members - except two - lived in St Kilda. The club started in 1903 and disbanded early in World War II as the members had to hand over their rifles to send to Britain.
