Copy of article in "The Leader" (Melbourne) 13 July, 1889 p14. Discussion of proposal by the Royal Horticultural Society of Victoria to establish a school of horticulture on their grounds to be handed over to the government. It did not have sufficient income to continue managing the gardens.
