Historical information

Original of this photo comes from the photograph album (B09. 0003) of Noelle Kendall ( Vaughan, graduated 1919.) Note by T.H.Kneen 19 November 1991, "Shows potting shed and at left an open fronted store for seedling boxes. The cold frames in the centre were replaced by a glasshouse. The watering can held by the student was standard equipment in the nursery." Later examination by Eric Littlejohn suggests quite different purpose for open fronted store, he recalls it being used for storage of tobacco leaf.
