Kneen, "The vacant ground behind these pens was used by the School of Horticulture for Nursery work during the period of training ex-servicemen and women under the Commonwealth Reconstruction Training Scheme (CRTS). The house under construction was a replacement for the original house occupied by the Macauley family."
