Historical information

Occasional picnic trains took large groups of visitors to the base of the mountain range & sometimes as far as the quarry. Other journeys terminated at Fyans Creek station on the south side of Mt Dryden. Most trips were Sunday School & Church outings, some on the annual Good Friday picnic. Spring was also a popular time
