These medals has historic significance as it was issued to William Alsop a Commando in 2/10 Commando Squadron for his service during World War II and has strong provenance as it was donated with a Deed of Gift.

Physical description

The six–pointed star is yellow copper zinc alloy. The obverse has a central design of the Royal and Imperial cypher, surmounted by a crown. The cypher is surrounded by a circlet containing the words ‘The Pacific Star’ and War Medal 1939-45.
