Lagoon Confectioners commenced manufacturing in 1921 at 118 Albert Road, South Melbourne. These included Boiled Sweets, Chocolate Novelties Counted Lines and1/2d Novelties. In 1970 they moved to premises in Graham Street, Port Melbourne.

'Port Parlour Shots' was an initiative of the Bay Street Traders Association. The project's intention was to curate home movies that had been shot in Port Melbourne before 1999. A screening of these films took place at Gasworks Park theatre.

The owner, Victor, salvaged the badge, painted it green to match his house and used it as the 'nameplate' for his residence.
