Town Pier, Sandridge approx 1876-1894. A competitor to Railway Pier but without the rail facility. In the 20th Century it became limited to timber or collier ships. Pier demolished in 1950s. This image shows horse-drawn wagons being loaded and many sailing ships docked in the background.

Lagoon Confectioners commenced manufacturing in 1921 at 118 Albert Road, South Melbourne. These included Boiled Sweets, Chocolate Novelties Counted Lines and1/2d Novelties. In 1970 they moved to premises in Graham Street, Port Melbourne.

The Victa company was founded by Mervyn Victor RICHARDSON in Australia in 1952 initially to manufacture lawnmowers. This badge was on the back gate of a former shop in Princes Street, Port Melbourne.
