A cutting from from a Melbourne Legacy President's report showing a photo of Legatee Eric Baker (President of Melbourne Legacy in 1976). It was collected to be a record of a photo of past presidents.
In World War 2 Legatee Baker joined the RAAF and served with the No 3 Squadron in the Middle East from 1940-43. Also in the South West Pacific area.
He joined Legacy in 1967 on the nomination of Legatees Jock McAuley and Ted Savage.
The newspaper clipping shows his wife, Jean Baker, ran as the Liberal candidate for Bundroora, clipping is incomplete and the year is unknown.
The article was part of an album of past presidents from 1965 to 1989. The folder included biographical details and obituaries, eulogies and death notices of prominent Legatees. The items have been catalogued separately.
